Life is good

The past 13 months have been for the lack of better word, simply Incredible with the capital “I”. There were definitely moments of “low”, but those moments are simply nothing compared to the joy and laughter that they bring. We are so very blessed to have our precious miracle twinkies in our life.
They never fail to amaze me. Every. Single. Day. There is bound to be something new daily. Something funny. Something cute. Something naughty.
The twins changes every aspect of us. On our outlook in life in general. On my relationship with my darling hubby and my family. Through the little ones, I have learned so much. That I am capable of so much love for another being. So much so that I could barely contain them, at times I could feel my heart bursting. Bursting with love and pride. They have taught me the greatness and sacrifices of a mother. Patience. Selflessness.
My dearest husband. The man I respect and love so dearly. Being a parent now let me see you through a different light. There are moments of parenting disagreements. But I could not deny the tenderness I see in you while you change their soiled diapers. Midnight feedings. The nurturing warmth of a father. My love grow fonder as we walk and learn together through our parenting journey.
Let’s slow down and enjoy the moments. Let’s not sweat the small stuff. Let’s soak up and bask in the sunshine that radiates from our two very beautiful children.
My mum. My children’s 'poh poh'. Words could never express my gratitude for taking care of my children. For being there when I needed your support. I would have been so lost without you by my side during my early days of motherhood. Even now. You are my walking encyclopedia of becoming a good mum. Your abundance of knowledge, tenacity and resilience amazes me.
My babies are growing up so fast right before my eyes. I am so afraid. So afraid that I will forget all these phases that they are going through. Will I forget? Will I forget the first kiss Aiden planted on my cheek. Will I forget Alexis’ first smile. Will I forget their first attempt to communicate. Will I forget the sweetness of their baby scent. Amidst all the frantic moments of trying to document every single milestone for the future, I am afraid to forget to soak up the current moments. The current moment now that Aiden is learning to pat a toy dog and Alexis pointing to me where the fan is.
I will slow down and enjoy today. All the moments will be engraved and reflected in the two little great person we are bringing up.

I love you, Alexis and Aiden.

Fraternal Twins!

It is confirmed. We are having fraternal twins! My babies have roommies...I am like a semi-detached there...hahaha. It is exhilarating, over the moon exciting and also nerve wrecking. How am I going to breast feed 2 babies at one go? We will need 2 baby car seats, plus the maid and the barang-barang... can they feed into the car? We need bigger MPV....If it's a boy and a girl, they can't share room for long.. We need more rooms.
Regardless, it is a blessing that we are very much grateful for :) We will take one step at a time, with such fantastic support, I am sure things will iron out. Most importantly now is for the little twinkies to grow strong and healthy. It was such an amazing experience to see the two little heartbeats on the screen and the loving beaming look on hubby's face. Those little miracles are priceless.
My daily prayer now will also include for the morning sickness and food aversion to get better. Oh, by the way, morning sickness is REALLY a misnomer. It should be called the Whole-Day sickness.... bleah..
But my dear hubby is a real darling taking care of ALL the household chores on top of taking care of his preggie wife. He never fail to amaze me. To see his big smile at the end of the day is always the highlight of my day :) I need to count my blessings more often.
We cheated with home pregnancy test kit before the official blood test ;)

BFP

I have got a big fat positive! My beta is 775. That is a great number. Hubby and I are over the moon excited. We are so looking forward.

And the waiting continues...

Today is my 9dpt. At this stage, I am much more calmer than I expected. Nevertheless, there are butterflies fluttering in the tummy. I am so tempted to cheat and take a HPT before the betaHCG blood test. Check on my HPT kit and it has already expired! Darn. Keeping fingers crossed and am hoping for a BFP on Monday. From now till then will be a test of my sanity and patience (and with my emotional roller coaster outburst, I think I am also driving hubs up the wall).

On the other note, MIL brought over 4 fresh kampung chicken for some added nutritional value in my diet. Hubs and I made some herbal chicken soup in the crock pot and it was delish! Mum is gonna make me some homemade chicken essence. I am looking forward. If you still can't tell, yes I am a glutton...

I havent being doing much around the house. Except eat, sleep, watch tv and Facebook (I actually won quite a few medals in Farmville over this couple of days...hahaha). Hubby is taking over the house chores and LOL ...also maintaining my Farmville when I rest. He is a keeper!

Happy Birthday my Love!

Happy Birthday Darling! May today be filled with love, understanding and contentment as you journey through life with me. Joy and happiness will definitely come your way. Many many happy returns!
"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be."
Every morning I wake up and see,
The most handsome man lying next to me.
He's the one I cherish and love,
A blessing sent from Heaven above.
I will love him as a faithful wife should,
And do everything for him I could.
I would let him know everyday,
That I love him more than words can say.

A husband is someone, Who is loving and true
Bringing much joy to the things that you do
The smiles he gives at the start of the day
Fill you with love as you start on your way
A husband is someone special,Whose sweet love is shown
By that special smile that is yours and yours alone
This is you darling
The love of my life
The man I love dearly
I'm glad I'm your wife
Happy Birthday

Birthday 2009

I turned 30 two weeks ago! It is quite difficult to grasp that I can no longer say I am in my twenties. Where did all the years go? Well like the saying goes 'Age is something that doesn't matter unless you are a cheese'.
Celebration started with family dinner at CRC.
"A family in harmony will prosper in everything""There's only one happiness in life, to love and be loved"

And then dinner with dear hubby at Hard Rock Café. It was a crazy fun time.30 years of life and my little lungs don't have the capacity to blow out a candle 3 feet away...Another slice of birthday cake complimentary from Hard Rock Cafe. This is the 10th birthday I have celebrated with my darling hubby. Thanks for all the sweetness! Many more to come :)Tomato Basil soup served with yummy bread. The soup was a tad too salty to my liking though.
I can barely finish a quarter of this big portion from the Smokehouse- Hickory Duo Bar-B-que combo (Ribs & Beef Brisket)The Beatles and us :D

Traditional Mee Suah lunch prepared by mummy with 2 hard boil eggs, 2 drumsticks & spring onion garnishing. It represents longevity, prosperity, love, health and everything good.Mee Suah with red packets from my parents. Can't be more traditional, yet it is something that I cherish and would like to carry on.
All these with a meeting with old friends for tea completed my 30th birthday!

I have matured over the years and am thankful and feel blessed for all the accomplishments and experiences that life brings. I have learnt a lot along the way yet there are so much more to learn and explore.
I have completed my tertiary education
Stayed in a foreign land on my own for 6 years safely
Worked in a hospital in a foreign land for 3 years (Going thru the SARS commotion safely)
Got married to a man I love dearly and love me plenty
Bought my first home
Have owned 2 cars
Visited 6% of the countries in the world
Switched thru 4 jobs (From all totally unrelated industry)
Landed a job that I like
Build and developed a business with dear hubby
Learned to cook
Appreciate my parents more than ever
Where there is great love, there are always miracles
Treasure every moment spend with my siblings
Got disappointed that the painting of Mona Lisa is so much smaller than I expected
Starting to grow plants (Inadvertently, many plants were also sacrificed in the process)
Still mesmerized by “Haunted Mansion” in Disneyland
Learned that you can’t just order “latte” in Italy (all you get is milk)
Realized that if you get caught for speeding in US, you gotta put both hands on the steering wheel (else you risk having a gun pointed at you from a cop)
Discovered I like vanilla ice cream more than chocolate
The simple joy of having hot steaming Maggi cup noodle on the cold Swiss mountains
Love is a condition where the happiness of another person is essential to your own
Everything happened for a reason
Life is divine chaos, embrace it
Life is good!

How does my hubby love me?

I'm feelling lovey-dovey-cheesy... :)

  • Hubby will wake up 7am in the morning on his off days to drive me to work (coz he knows that I so hate to drive, me being a lousy driver is besides the point)
  • He always offer to buy me breakfast before sending me to work (if he's driving me)
  • He downloads all my fav series and watch them with me
  • Hubby will make me my Milo drink anytime of the day the way that I like it
  • He offers me his last prawn in his char koay teow
  • He make sure my car's petrol tank is top up
  • Hubby patiently waits while I get pretty (Facial & Hair Saloon which can take hours)
  • He sends me msg & calls out of the blue just to say " I love you"
  • He tolerates my weird obsessive clean-aholic personality
  • Hubby somehow 'understands' why I perpetually need more shoes and bags
  • He spoils me with shopping sprees and hotel retreats
  • Hub's on the same page with my family
  • He nurse me when I am sick
  • He pampers me with foot massage
  • He constantly brings home 'surprise snacks' for me after work
  • He makes sure I'm well fed
  • Hubby supports my designer bags indulgence, yaay
  • He is always standing on my side and takes no nonsense from people who stepped on my tail
  • Hubby make sure that my car is serviced and maintained in tip-top condition so that I can drive safely
  • He knows how to cheer me up with that funny smile
  • Hubby spoils me rotten and I love it!

I can go on and on with my list. I lurve my man....
As we grow older together, As we continue to change with age, There is one thing that will never change. . . I will always keep falling in love with you
