Bedside Manners

How often do you make your bed? Is it as common as a blue moon or a must like breathing air…not the best analogy, but you get my point. It really varies with individuals, but for me it’s a routine that needs to be done daily. And by that I mean DAILY, even if it’s 9pm. I go berserk with unmade bed.
Due to the fact that we start our days at different time, Me; the destined early riser does not have the ‘privilege’ to making bed in the morning. Hubby is still having his beauty sleep when I leave the house for work. On good days, dear hubby will attempt to arrange the pillows and the quilt making it presentable, while on his lazy days… lets just say he enjoys the efficiency of crawling into an unmade bed. These are the days that I make the bed in the evenings… after coming home from work… just like a couple of hours before bedtime. Yea, I am THAT neurotic. I for one believe that a freshly made bed is equivalent to a start of a brand new day or night…. Or perhaps it’s just an excuse for my obsessive behavior

Father's Day - Xuan Xin Restaurant

This Father's Day we celebrated at Xuan Xin Restaurant. My dad loves the steamboat here. Probably find it unique as they uses porridge / congee as the soup base for the steamboat. There's a lot of variety of soup to choose from, and by that I meant plentiful (from herbal, Laksa soup, hokkien mee soup to porridge base)
Some family pic (Lynne's snapping the pic)
Some rather candid shots of us (hmm... I think we are quite color coordinated)
and hubby, I and our table manners :P
Thanks dad for supporting us throughout the years and moulding us into the confident selves that we are today. Happy Father's Day to all Dads!

Summer Garden Food & Bistro

Summer Garden, as the name speaks for itself, a relaxing airy place for a quiet cozy meal. I would definitely return to this place to try out the varieties on the menu (especially the steaks). The restaurant provided call buttons on each table (Call / Water / Bill) which gives us our 'space & privacy' (with no server hovering over to take orders or refill water, only when requested).
My Spagetti Marinara (RM19.00). Delicious with plenty of seafood and mushrooms. Hubby ordered Fish & chips (RM17.00) and caesar salad.Mantis prawn asam laksa (RM9.90) with generous amount of vege was not exactly to my personal liking. I prefer our traditional Penang asam laksa with lots of prawn paste. However, hubs gave 2 thumbs up for the drink - Summer Breeze (Fresh concoction of juices: apple, tomatoes, orange, lemon, mint and honey). Indeed very refreshing.
More drinks: Sunset Beauty (RM10.80) & Iced Black Coffee (RM8.80) Summer Garden is serving Lavazza coffee (RM7.80). Very strong and aromatic.Since this restaurant does not charge government tax and service charges, hubby did leave some tips for the server ;)

Mother's Day - Tsuruya Restaurant

Since my dear mummy loves japanese food, this year we celebrated Mother's Day at Tsuruya, Penang Time Square. Since Time Square has yet to be fully operational, the place is not packed with buzling crowds YET.

Picture of the cute ever loving couple (my parents).
Hubby and I. Notice the 'Garfield' look on hubs.
An upclose look on my dinner set (Salmon sashimi & grilled Unagi). The meal comes with rice, chawanmushi, salad, pcikled vege, miso soup, fruits and also complimentary ice cream! Too hungry to take more pics on all the other sets that we ordered. :P
My cheeky siblings whom I adore (from left: The Engineer, The Designer, The Auditor). Life has been so busy that we arent spending as much time as I wish too. Mental note to self "spend more time with family".
Me & Lynne My little brother-Cavyn & I (He's trying to make me look taller)
Love you guys lots!
