An Exciting Life

You Live an Exciting Life

You are anything but a bore. You make sure that life is full of excitement.
You have an adventurous spirit, and you don't like to sit still for too long.

If you feel like doing something, you don't think about it. You just do it.
There's no way you could ever live a boring life. There's too much to do and not enough time.

I did some random online test, says I live an exciting life..somehow I find it amusing.

How does my hubby love me?

I'm feelling lovey-dovey-cheesy... :)

  • Hubby will wake up 7am in the morning on his off days to drive me to work (coz he knows that I so hate to drive, me being a lousy driver is besides the point)
  • He always offer to buy me breakfast before sending me to work (if he's driving me)
  • He downloads all my fav series and watch them with me
  • Hubby will make me my Milo drink anytime of the day the way that I like it
  • He offers me his last prawn in his char koay teow
  • He make sure my car's petrol tank is top up
  • Hubby patiently waits while I get pretty (Facial & Hair Saloon which can take hours)
  • He sends me msg & calls out of the blue just to say " I love you"
  • He tolerates my weird obsessive clean-aholic personality
  • Hubby somehow 'understands' why I perpetually need more shoes and bags
  • He spoils me with shopping sprees and hotel retreats
  • Hub's on the same page with my family
  • He nurse me when I am sick
  • He pampers me with foot massage
  • He constantly brings home 'surprise snacks' for me after work
  • He makes sure I'm well fed
  • Hubby supports my designer bags indulgence, yaay
  • He is always standing on my side and takes no nonsense from people who stepped on my tail
  • Hubby make sure that my car is serviced and maintained in tip-top condition so that I can drive safely
  • He knows how to cheer me up with that funny smile
  • Hubby spoils me rotten and I love it!

I can go on and on with my list. I lurve my man....
As we grow older together, As we continue to change with age, There is one thing that will never change. . . I will always keep falling in love with you

Groovy Kind of Love

When I'm feeling blue, All I have to do
Is take a look at you
Then I'm not so blue
When you're close to me
I can feel you heart beat , I can hear you breathing
In my ear
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

Any time you want to , You can turn me on to
Anything you want to , Any time at all
When I kiss your lips , Ooh, I start to shiver
Can't control the quivering inside
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love

When I'm in your arms , Nothing seems to matter
My whole world can shatter
I don't care
Wouldn't you agree?
Baby, you and me got a groovy kind of love
We got a groovy kind of love

Life begins at 30

It was great fun to meet up with old (no pun intended) friends over lunch and of course to celebrate P's 30th birthday at Audees. The whole bunch of us has known each other since our secondary school days and some even during our primary school days. We have seen each other thru many of life's trials, tribulations and definitely joyous occasions. I am proud to say that these wonderful girls sure play an integral part in shaping the essence of the women that I am today. Thank you peeps.
We have been there and done ‘that’ in our early twenties (shitty boyfriends, crappy underpaid jobs, finding our ‘selves’ – some of us still are). Now, we are all ready to get into the next cool age bracket. A toast to the thirty-somethings and soon-to-be thirty-somethings. Life begins at thirty! Wohoooo….

Some picture of the yummy food. Note the centre pic, my char-grilled ribeye steak cooked to perfection. Thanks to the birthday girl for the yummy lunch.

Oriental Stir Fried Angel Hair

Juggling with work and my ambition to be a Domestic Goddess, cooking a one dish meal is a life line ;) . Note to self: Time saved can be used in front of the TV catching up on my fav series.
Here's something I've concocted on a busy weekday with whats left in our larder: Oriental Stir Fried Angel Hair.
Ingredients:
Minced Meat (Seasoned with pepper, salt & sesame oil)
White Cabbage
Red Chilli
Tomato
Chopped Garlic
Oyster sauce
Cooking wine
Boiled Angel Hair Pasta with some olive oil and pinch of salt

Method:
1. Fry some chopped garlic till slightly brown, add in seasoned minced meat.
2. Add in cabbage, chillies, tomatoes and some water. Close the lid and let it cook. Stir occasionally.
3. Add in Angel Hair Pasta. Stir fry with oyster sauce. Add cooking wine and season to taste.
Voila! Dinner is ready....

Twilight - Stephanie Meyer

So much hype about the "Twilight" series that I decided to jump on the bandwagon (albeit kinda slow)

I want to accomplish before turning 3-0....

Wokay, so I have another 7 months to do accomplish all these....
  1. Get pregnant (after completing my cervical cancer vaccination jabs..)
  2. Take another short holiday trip (Just to unwind with no shopping...)
  3. Lose 5kg
  4. Stop being so anal about cleanliness
  5. Learn to bake (to fully utilize my expensive oven)
  6. Do something different with my hair
  7. Drink less coffee (only 1 cuppa a day)
  8. Be on a regular exercise regime (erm...3 times a week, ok maybe twice a week)
  9. Improve on my golfing skill (so that I can go to the green with hubby without humiliating myself)
  10. Do more charity
  11. Not be afraid of lizards
  12. Just just 1 more designer bag

Young Heart Restaurant

A supposedly yum-cha session with my siblings ended up to be an early dinner at Young Heart Restaurant located at Cantonment Road. The main agenda was to discuss on the coming Mother's Day dinner and of course sibling bonding ;). Yups, we are typical Malaysian where everything revolves around food.
This restaurant has a very homey cozy ambience. If you are looking for a quiet place to catch up with friends, I would think this Restaurant could be a good choice. Young Heart has a slogan that says "The fragrance of the refreshment comes from the heart".

Tea sets on display

For the starter, we ordered lotus roots that were seasoned in vinegar & sugar and the hot & sour soup. The lotus roots were too sour to our liking. However, the soup was delicious with crunchy strips of black fungus.

Managed to snap some photos of the main dishes: Soup handmade noodle with shredded pork, Fried rice with pan fried chics, and a 3+1 chicken with rice
The dry handmade noodle with Shredded Pork (Taste a lot better than the soup version)
Young Heart's specialty is also on 'Jiao Zi' and 'Guo Tie'. We ordered the succulent steamed Dumpling (Jiao Zi) - Pork & Pumpkin (RM8.40 for 6 pcs)
Hubby ordered a pot of tea (RM8.00) that consist of a multitude of different flowers. A flask of hot water is also provided for refilling. The rest of us choose to go for juices and ice blends. Overall, I had a great time hanging out with my sister & brothers. The short 2 hours was filled with jokes and laughters. We are still as cheeky as ever.

Restaurant Karaikudi

Hubby & I was on our food trail and ventured to Southern Indian cuisine - Restaurant Karaikudi, located at Market Street. It was not our normal choice, but definitely an interesting experience.
For the main meal we ordered Chicken Dhum Briyani (cooked in sealed pot over slow fire to sea; on aroma and flovour. Dhum means "to steam" and "mature" a dish), Chicken Tikka Makhani (Chicken marinated in yoghurt & Tandoori spices), and Masala Tosai.
The Kashimiri Naan was quite disappointing. The fish cutlet and Mango Lassi was quite good.
The hot Milo is quite pricey for this very small cup.

Lazy Sunday Lunch

After a late Sunday breakfast, and too lazy to go out, I decided to cook a simple lunch for hubby & I. Being and amateur cook, I'm rather proud of the simple dishes that I managed to whipped up to go with rice :)
Stir Fried French Bean with Minced Meat
Sharkfin Melon Soup with Pork and Abalone
Fresh Watermelon Juice
