Roger Rabbit

Out of no where crazy late nite conversation with hubby (while he was zombie-ly looking at US stock market):

Me: *yawn* I want a rabbit..
Hubs: huh? You want to buy rabbit ah?
Me: Can you be my rabbit?
Hubs: Cannot…
Me: But why? Rabbit so cute *pout*
Hubs: *serious tone* I don’t have fur…
Me: But you got hair mah…
Hubs: ????!!!! *scratch head and continue looking at stock market*
Me: So what animal can you be?
Hubs: Skin-ny animal
Me: ????!!! But you are not skinny woh ..
Hubs: I meant animal with skin
Me: ???!!!
Hubs: You want to watch your Cantonese series?
Me: ok

We are crazy like that ....

Pot of Gold

Have you ever had days that seem to be filled with gloomy times ahead? Troubled water and uncertain cloudy hazy sky? Well, that was exactly how I was feeling for the past two days...a puddle of mud for God knows what reason.
I needed some lifting of the moody spirit. Hubs tried silly jokes to cheer me up. And with some bonding session with the funny siblings (who can literally make me laugh till I cry), all seem to be better.
The water is clearer; the clouds have parted revealing blue skies. The spirit been lifted. No days too dark, no problems too big in the embrace of warm love. In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future. The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.
I leave you with some sweet yummy looking cookies :) Have a good weekend ahead!

Cookies in the Cookie Jar

I scored these pretty Cookie jars (2 different sizes) from SSF over the weekend and love them lots. I think they are rather pricey (by my standard) for two jars, but well what the heck...a gal needs to splurge sometimes. They have delicate lids with butterfly knobs. Can't help smiling when I walk passed the kitchen and caught a glimpse of them on the counter *sigh* I am so easily pleased, or perhaps knowing there are actual cookies in the cookie jars :P~Coffee to go with cookies? Two more new coffee mugs (not my choice but on hubs insistence) to add to my cabinet filled with multitude of mismatched mugs.
