Young Heart Restaurant

A supposedly yum-cha session with my siblings ended up to be an early dinner at Young Heart Restaurant located at Cantonment Road. The main agenda was to discuss on the coming Mother's Day dinner and of course sibling bonding ;). Yups, we are typical Malaysian where everything revolves around food.
This restaurant has a very homey cozy ambience. If you are looking for a quiet place to catch up with friends, I would think this Restaurant could be a good choice. Young Heart has a slogan that says "The fragrance of the refreshment comes from the heart".

Tea sets on display

For the starter, we ordered lotus roots that were seasoned in vinegar & sugar and the hot & sour soup. The lotus roots were too sour to our liking. However, the soup was delicious with crunchy strips of black fungus.

Managed to snap some photos of the main dishes: Soup handmade noodle with shredded pork, Fried rice with pan fried chics, and a 3+1 chicken with rice
The dry handmade noodle with Shredded Pork (Taste a lot better than the soup version)
Young Heart's specialty is also on 'Jiao Zi' and 'Guo Tie'. We ordered the succulent steamed Dumpling (Jiao Zi) - Pork & Pumpkin (RM8.40 for 6 pcs)
Hubby ordered a pot of tea (RM8.00) that consist of a multitude of different flowers. A flask of hot water is also provided for refilling. The rest of us choose to go for juices and ice blends. Overall, I had a great time hanging out with my sister & brothers. The short 2 hours was filled with jokes and laughters. We are still as cheeky as ever.
